AC Milan have been handed a welcome boost ahead of their busy schedule of three games in one week, with the return of striker Marco Borriello to full training. The Italian 27-year-old has been the preferred forward in recent times after an impressive run of form before injury.
Borriello has eight goals in 16 appearances for the Rossoneri, a tally that is only bested by his first year in the second division of Italy, where he scored ten goals in 29 matches. He is currently ahead of Klass-Jan Huntelaar, who was bought from Real Madrid in the summer.
With a string of important matches coming up, and the second leg of the Champions League tie against Manchester United looming, Borriello’s return to fitness couldn’t have come at a better time.
