Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti has dismissed claims that his side’s stuttering form is the product of complacency. After five straight wins in January, The Blues have suffered a midweek draw to Hull and a defeat to Everton, with Manchester United now just one point behind in the standings.

This is a very competitive championship because we have four big teams, but we also have Man City, Aston Villa, Tottenham and Everton who are fantastic teams,” Ancelotti explained in the club’s official website. “There is more balance in this championship. I don’t know how many points we need to win the title but we know very well that it is 90 days until the end of the season and in these 90 days [only] we can decide our future, nobody else.”

Chelsea could possibly have to deal with the added pressure of being in second place going into their match against Wolverhampton, with Man Utd playing Everton a few hours before.
