2007/08 Bundesliga champions Stuttgart host the mighty Barcelona in the Champions League in midweek, hoping to upset the title holders much in the same way Lyon did Real Madrid the week before. The Catalan giants will be firm favourites going into the match, but Brazilian-born German striker Cacau, believes his side should not be underestimated.
“It’s tough for us, but we were all happy with the draw because we wanted to play a big team and we got the best in Europe,” Cacau said to Barca TV. “We are hoping to play well and cause an upset. We’ve got nothing to lose. Barca are favourites and we maybe have a 20 or 30% chance of getting through, but we will be trying to make the most of our opportunities.”
Stuttgart currently lie in ninth place in the German standings, but have impressively won six out of their last seven league games.
