Barcelona resume the defence of their Champions League crown when they visit Germany to face the unexpectedly stuttering Stuttgart. It is common knowledge that there are no easy matches in the prestigious tournament however, and defender Rafael Marquez is particularly in the mood to display his best after missing out on last year’s triumph against Manchester United due to injury.
Although the 31-year-old six-year Barcelona veteran has enough personal motivation to be giving his all, the added incentive of the final being played at rivals Real Madrid’s home ground is something he believes will be too good an opportunity to miss out on. "Winning the Champions League at the Bernabeu? There would be nothing greater. It’s what they want, all the Catalans," the Mexican told TVE.
Barca go into the match brimming with confidence, having dismantled Racing Santander 4-0 at the weekend.
