Everton’s Louis Saha was a surprise inclusion in the France line-up for the friendly against Spain on the 3rd of March. The former Manchester United striker hasn’t donned the Les Bleus jersey in more than six years, meaning that a run-out on Wednesday will be a historic event for the injury prone player.
“I’m not quite the same person,” Saha said in French daily L’Equipe. “I became more suspicious. I am more perspective. It sure is nice to be in the list. I’m really happy. But now I must play, to prove that I should stay in the squad.”
Saha has scored 15 goals this season in 28 appearances for Everton, equalling his best ever tally for former club Man Utd.
