Stuttgart second-choice goalkeeper Sven Ulreich will be unlikely to feature for the rest of the Bundesliga season after suffering a broken calf bone in an under-21 match for Germany on Tuesday.
According to Uefa.com, the club confirmed that the 21-year-old shot stopper will be out for six to eight weeks – a huge blow to a side that will have no recognised deputy for veteran keeper and former Arsenal regular Jens Lehmann.
Stuttgart will be crossing their fingers that the 40-year-old former German international remains fit, especially for the club’s visit to Camp Nou, where they battle with Barcelona for a spot in the Champions League quarterfinals.
