Spanish side Villarreal will be delighted to welcome back United States-born Giuseppe Rossi to their squad, as they continue their push to surge up the La Liga standings. The Italian international has been out of action since the 7th of February, returning to America to grieve his father’s passing.

The former Manchester United budding star has been spotted back in Spain however, and is expected to join Villarreal’s training today. Should he prove to be sharp and in full fitness after practice, the 23-year-old may find himself on the team sheet against Espanyol on Sunday.

Despite not being able to hold down a spot in Man Utd, the crafty striker has proven to be a force to reckon with in La Liga, scoring 12 goals already this season.
