Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez has declared he is sure that winter transfer window signing Maxi Rodriguez will have a major impact on the club’s fortunes in the closing months of the season.
The Argentina international was considered by observers to have been at his most impressive yet when Liverpool met Blackburn in their last match and it is a conclusion Benitez also drew.
"I agree that last week was his best performance." Benitez told the club’s official site.
"It is important for us to have a player who can keep the ball and understand the game and he knows what it means to play in the Premier League now."
Benitez also believes that his new signing will continue to improve and get better with time. "He has got quality, he has experience and you can see that he is a very good professional. Little by little he will give more and more to us."
Liverpool fans are expecting great things from the former Atletico Madrid man, who is rumoured to be on a massive £90,000 a week at the Anfield club.
