Fulham’s Craven Cottage is proving to be a lucky ground for Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes, after the shot stopper produced a tremendous save to keep out Zoltan Gera’s effort, chalking up his 14th clean sheet in the process. The goalless draw ensures there will be a replay between the two sides, with the winner to face Portsmouth in the semi-finals.
"Yes, it’s turning into a special place for me!" exclaimed Gomes after Saturday’s hard-fought draw. "It’s always the best feeling when there is an important moment and I can help the team win or draw the game, when we get points or in this case, to keep going in the FA Cup.”
Gomes has successfully recovered from a horrendous start to his Spurs career in 2008, and has since been praised by manager Harry Redknapp as “world-class”.
