Real Madrid will be buoyed by a thrilling win over Sevilla at the weekend when Lyon visit the Santiago Bernabeu for their crunch Champions League last 16 match on Wednesday. The French giants go into the game with a slim 1-0 advantage, but midfielder Lassana Diarra is confident his side have what it takes to reverse the tie and progress to the quarterfinals.
“We have to push, scare and score early,” the former Arsenal and Chelsea player said on the club’s official website. “I’m sure it will be a different game from the first leg, and we must enter the game very strong and be especially attentive to their outlets as well as getting our goals. The 1-0 is not a very adverse outcome; it is not that big of a difference.”
Diarra moved from Portsmouth to Real in 2008, and has since gone on to make 46 appearances for the Spanish side so far.
