AC Milan have proven to be Manchester United’s bogey team in European competition, having lost in all the four previous ties they were involved in. The English giants are eager to change that however, and on Wednesday night, they will be hoping to hold on to their slim advantage and knockout the Italian side from the Champions League in front of their beloved Old Trafford faithful.
“It’s not a case of owing Milan one, but we will want to make sure we don’t make the same mistakes we did a few years ago when they knocked us out at the semi-final stage,” goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar told the club’s official website. “We’re always confident, and I haven’t played a lot in the Champions League yet this season, so I’ve been really looking forward to these games.”
Man Utd will have a 3-2 advantage on aggregate when they host the Milan club on Wednesday night.
