Former Ivory Coast boss Vahid Halilhodzic is still unhappy about his dismissal as Elephants coach just months before the World Cup and told France Football that he has even thought about quitting the game.

Halilhodzic had expected to lead Ivory Coast to South Africa and also revealed that he had received much support from his former charges.

"I want to thank the players who supported me," said Halilhodzic. "It was unbelievable, they were as disgusted as me."

The former coach also spoke of how he had already fielded offers from a range of different clubs, but is not quite ready to return to football just yet.

"I’ve had five proposals, but I did not respond", explained Halilhodzic, before commenting that he feels "sad and disgusted."
