Roma icon Francesco Totti has delivered some stunning information with an admission that he was once close to signing for Real Madrid, Totti, who is widely considered to be the symbol of the Rome giants, revealed the snippet in an interview with Canal+.
"On one occasion I was very close to signing for Real Madrid." said Totti.
Roma have been transformed by the arrival of Claudio Ranieri this season and have launched what many see as a genuine Serie A title campaign. Should their good form continue then Totti will once again be playing in the Champions League next season.
