Kilmarnock striker Kevin Kyle has ruled out a move to join Russian side Spartak Nalchik ahead of the new Premier League season. Nalchik had been counting of the signing of the forward to boost their squad ahead of an expected difficult campaign, but now it appears they will have to look elsewhere.
The striker had been spending time with Spartak Nalchik at their training base in Turkey, but has decided against making the move, despite the lucrative terms on offer.
"I did not feel comfortable and despite only being away for two days I just couldn’t wait to get back to Scotland." explained Kyle.
He also stated that even if "they offered me £100,000 a week I would turn them down."
Players within Scotland have become an attractive option for Russian clubs, although Nalchik will now look at other options.
