Fiorentina goalkeeper Sebastien Frey has stated that his Viola team-mates feel angry after crashing out of the Champions League on away goals to Bayern Munich last night. The Italian giants are still hurting from their first leg match against the Germans, where a clearly offside goal was allowed to stand and resulted in Bayern taking a 2-1 lead to Italy.

Following the 3-2 scoreline last night, which meant a 4-4 aggregate score, Frey explained to the media: "There is so much anger and disappointment. There are no regrets because we gave everything. Unfortunately the result was not enough and now we are sorry because you would think that with 1-1 [from the first leg] we would [go through]."

The ultimate defeat of the Italian side is sure to ensure questions are once again raised over the suitability of Norwegian first leg referee Tom Henning Orevbo, who was also at the centre of controversy for his officiating of Chelsea’s meeting with Barcelona last season, to referee top level matches in the future.
