Milovan Rajevac steered Ghana to a second-place finish in the recent African Cup of Nations, losing out to Egypt, who completed a third straight triumph in the tournament. The 56-year-old was without the injured Michael Essien for most of the tournament, and was missing Inter Milan’s Sulley Muntari because of disciplinary issues – problems which have been resolved according to the coach.
“I flew to Milan for five days to meet Muntari and we are fine now and we have resolved our differences. I made it known how I felt and he also aired his views,” Rajevac said to Fifa.com “He is a good player and Ghana needs him going forward. I think whatever happened is in the past and we have to move on now. He told me he wants to play for Ghana and that is important.”
Rajevac’s side is in Group D with Australia, Germany and Serbia in what will be a tight race to progress into the Round of 16.
