Paris Saint-Germain will have to play two matches behind closed doors in the coming weeks, much to the frustration of their manager Antoine Kombouare, who feels the sanctions do not properly address the problem of crowd trouble in the league.
“We can not accept such decisions. I’m disappointed, as it is not strong enough,” Kombouare said on France Football. “I do not see football like that. The real question I ask myself is whether the matches behind closed doors will solve the problem of violence in stadiums. I do not believe it. The solution is to ban hooligans from stadiums.”
PSG will play away to Nice next week and at home against Boulogne eight days after without a crowd as the league attempts to clamp down on the growing problem of crowd violence.
