After making an untoward gesture towards match officials, Jose Mourinho was banned from the touchline in Serie A, a suspension that has coincided with a sudden drop of form by Inter Milan. The Italian side have picked up only one win in their last three matches, and are now just one point ahead of archrivals AC Milan in the league standings. The “Special One” will be back on the bench against Chelsea tomorrow, a presence that makes Nerazzurri president Massimo Moratti much more confident in side’s ability.
“Mourinho is a guarantee," Moratti said on Fifa.com. "To see him on the bench makes me calm. I’m certain Mourinho will pick the best possible team and that the Inter players will show heart and character on the pitch."
Inter visit Stamford Bridge tomorrow holding a 2-1 advantage over Chelsea.
