Former Manchester United hero Andy Cole is backing the Red Devils to be at the top of the Premier League standings come the end of the season. The once prolific striker claims experience plays a big factor in title races, and he believes the current three-time champions have what it takes to make it four successive league triumphs.
“It’s always important to have experience of title races, because it feels like familiar ground,” Cole said on the club’s official website. “Mentally and physically you know what it’s going to take out of you. United’s players definitely thrive on the pressure – that’s why they are playing at one of the biggest clubs in the world,” he added. "The title race is hotting up and could go down to the wire, but I think United have more than enough in the locker to go on and win it.”
Although confidence is high at the Man Utd camp, they face a difficult run-in, having to still play Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham as the league nears its end.
