Chelsea midfielder Joe Cole claims the club’s supporters have all the right to cheer on former manager Jose Mourinho, who was a big part of the club’s success during his reign at Stamford Bridge. He warns however, that with so much at stake, the fans shouldn’t allow their affection for the Portuguese tactician spill over to the rest of the Inter Milan squad.

“Jose was a massive person at Chelsea and the fans will give him a great reception which he deserves but they also need to realise that Carlo is our manager now and Roman is our owner and we will fight for them,” Cole said on the club’s official website. “Don’t fall into the trap of making Inter Milan feel too welcome,” he warned the Chelsea faithful.

The Blues will be calling on the spirit of 2005, when they a overturned a similar 2-1 advantage at Stamford Bridge to knock out a star-studded Barcelona side in the Champions League.
