Jose Mourinho makes his dramatic return to Stamford Bridge tonight, taking with him a 2-1 advantage for his new club Inter Milan. The former Chelsea boss claims he will be restrained should his side triumph, but will be doing all in his power to ensure his current team progress to the Champions League quarterfinals.
"I have nothing to prove to Chelsea, nothing to prove to Chelsea players, to Chelsea fans or to the Chelsea board,” Mourinho said to BBC Sport. "Yes, I would be more restrained because it’s Chelsea, where I worked for three-and-a-half years. It’s the same people, the same players and fans. But don’t confuse that emotional control with anything about my desire to win."
Mourinho will likely receive a warm welcome from the Chelsea fans, which he treated to plenty of silverware during his time at the club.
