Although Park Ji-Sung has enjoyed a string of impressive performances for Manchester United in the last few games, Wayne Rooney has been the man that everybody has been talking about. The South Korean captain explains the team are not in the least surprised at the striker’s prolific goal scoring ability this season, claiming all the young Englishman needed was a little bit of experience.

He has great talent, and for a while people have been expecting him to show that he’s one of the best players in the world,” Park said on the club’s official website. “He’s scored a lot of goals this season, but we’ve known for some time that he’s capable of doing that. It’s not a surprise. Before he was young and needed experience; now he has grown up and everyone can see his ability.”

The experience Rooney has garnered over the years has helped him bang home 32 goals already this season, just 10 shy of Cristiano Ronaldo’s whopping 42-goal haul two seasons prior.
