Roque Santa Cruz has not featured much for Manchester City since his transfer from Blackburn Rovers in the summer, with fitness problems keeping the striker from enjoying an extended run in the side. The Paraguayan isn’t fazed with his situation however, and states he is prepared to stay as focused as possible in order to be of service to his team should he be required.

Everybody will need to be ready to get involved at any time,” Santa Cruz said on the club’s official website. “I have not started many games lately but I know how important it is to be prepared and able to contribute as soon as you come on. Most of the squad are fit, and we just need Ade (Emmanuel Adebayor) to come back to help strengthen the team even more.”

Santa Cruz who was reportedly signed for £17.5M, has made just 17 appearances for Man City, scoring three goals.
