AC Milan are keeping a close eye on Lorient striker Kevin Gameiro according to L’Equipe. The 22-year-old has been watched several times by scouts from the Serie A outfit and they were present once again as Lorient went down to a 2-0 defeat away at Boulogne yesterday.
Young Gameiro is a France Under-21 international who is seeing his reputation grow by the game. The striker, who also qualifies to represent Portugal through his parentage, has managed 10 goals in 26 appearances thus far this season.
Milan, where the purse-strings are still tight, are on the lookout for future prospects and have raided France many times before, most notably for the services of Yoann Gourcuff. While that Frenchman’s time in Milan may not have been a resounding success there is little doubt as to his quality and the Italians would be happy to repeat the trick with Gameiro.
