According to reports on France Football, Real Madrid are already looking for a replacement to current manager Manuel Pellegrini after the former Villarreal man failed to guide Los Blancos past Lyon in the last 16 of the Champions League, which ended the club’s dream of playing the final at their home ground.

Although Real are currently still in pole position to win La Liga ahead of archrivals Barcelona, the season has been considered a disappointment as the team is no longer participating in any other competitions. After such heavy investments in the summer to bring in the likes of Crisitano Ronaldo, Kaka and Xabi Alonso, expectations were to be battling for more than just one trophy.

It is believed Zinedine Zidane, who is now an advisor at Real Madrid, has suggested to president Florentino Perez to consider acquiring Bordeaux’s impressive manager Laurent Blanc for next season.

Sevilla have fallen to fifth in the league, six points behind Valencia who are in third-place, the position the club finished in last season.
