Arjen Robben has been in sparkling form for Bayern Munich since his transfer from Real Madrid in the summer, equalling his highest ever goal tally of 13 already this season after only 24 appearances. The Dutchman has been in the headlines recently for allegedly saying that his coveted team-mate Franck Ribery should join Barcelona rather than his former Spanish employers, a statement that he flatly denies.
“I never said that. He has the quality to play for both teams, but what I prefer is for him to stay in Munich. I wish him to continue with us. I love playing next to him,” Robben said on Spanish paper Marca, before going on to squash claims that he is trying to prove Los Blancos were wrong to sell him in the summer. "When I play I try to do well, but for me and my passion, not for Real Madrid. They know what type of player I am.”
Robben has been a spectacular acquisition for the German giants, who are now at the pinnacle of the Bundesliga standings.
