Brazil’s influential attacker Kaka claims his side must prepare meticulously for the group stages of the World Cup. The famed Seleção have been drawn into the “group of death” of the tournament with Portugal, Ivory Coast and Korea DPR, and the Real Madrid star is fully aware his team will not be handed passage into the next round on a silver platter.
“It’s a very difficult group, perhaps the hardest in the whole first round,” Kaka said to Fifa.com. “Coming up against teams like Côte d’Ivoire, Portugal and Korea DPR is a great motivation for us because it means we have to go into the World Cup at our very best. We’ll need to prepare really well because if we don’t, we could be in for a nasty surprise.”
Kaka will surely be playing a prominent role in Brazil’s World Cup push in the summer, much like he did during the qualification campaign.
