Josep Guardiola revealed that the match against Osasuna was a game of two halves, as his attempts to implement a new system in the first interval were clearly not paying off. Goals from Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Bojan Krkic late in the second-half sealed the win for the Catalan giants, who returned to a more familiar setup after the break.
“I had imagined a game that has not happened, so I changed the system in the second half." Guardiola said on the club’s official website. "I wanted to try something and it did not go well. I wanted more mobility in the two players, but it wasn’t successful and did not go well. In the first half we played very badly. In the second we were back to ourselves. "
The win sees Barca snatch top spot from archrivals Real Madrid, who could reclaim their leader status should they win against Getafe tonight.
