Manchester City fell to their first defeat at Eastlands this season, after failing to make the most of their opportunity to leapfrog Tottenham Hotspur into fourth place last night when they crashed to a 2-0 defeat to reborn Everton side, who are making an outside push for Champions League qualification.
"It hurt that they scored their first goal when we were playing well, and it’s disappointing to lose at home for the first time this season. But we still have eight games left this season, and we still have a good chance of getting into Europe,” Mancini said on the club’s official website. "There are still enough games to go, and we must start again on Monday against Wigan.”
The match was a tense affair, seeing both managers sent off near the end.
