Real Madrid’s prolific striker Gonzalo Higuain, fresh from scoring a brace against Getafe, is already sizing up the weekend’s derby against Atletico Madrid. The Argentinean hit man has been in amazing form this season, and is determined to expose their city rivals’ shortcomings at the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday.
“We know they’re a very good team and if they catch you on one of their good days, they are very hard to beat. But we know that they have their shortcomings and we hope to bring them to light,” Higuain said in the Spanish paper Marca. “There are 10 very difficult matches left, all of which will be treated like finals. The results all depend on us, and should we keep winning, the title is ours.”
Higuain, who scored a brace in midweek, will be hoping to continue his run of fine form at the weekend, as Real Madrid continue their push to thwart Barcelona from defending their La Liga title.
