Among the goal scorers in the vital win over Sunderland, Glen Johnson shared his thoughts on Fernando Torres’ wonder goal four minutes into the match. The Spanish striker looked to have been without an angle for a shot, but managed to find the back of the net with an exquisite finish, one that the resident right-back claims didn’t surprise him.

Fernando is a fantastic player and nothing he does surprises me,” Johnson admitted on the club’s official website when asked about Torres’ first goal. “To be honest from where I was looking I thought he was going to cross the ball, but he went for it and to see it end up in the net was great.”

The super strike put Liverpool in the driving seat and helped The Reds cruise to a comfortable victory.
