Emmanuel Adebayor is likely to return to the Manchester City starting line-up in the match against Wigan Athletic today. The Togo striker has served the last of a four-match ban, as he was found guilty of violent conduct for the second time after raising an arm against Stoke City’s Ryan Shawcross in a FA Cup tie.
“We have missed Emmanuel a lot and his return will give us a major boost for the run-in,” said Mancini on the club’s official website. “If we can play with Manu and Carlos for the remaining matches, I think we’ll be fine as they seem to have a very good understanding.”
Man City are currently sixth in the league, just five points adrift fourth placed Tottenham Hotspur, who have played a game more.
