England enjoyed a very successful World Cup qualifying campaign under Fabio Capello, prompting the nation’s supporters to be in a buoyant mood ahead of the prestigious tournament in South Africa in June. The Italian tactician believes however, that his side will have to overcome such teams as Spain, who he believes will be very difficult to beat.
“Spain have a confidence, a system of play that makes it difficult to beat them – and they don’t rely on one player to score the goals,” Capello explained on Fifa.com, before naming the team’s with the best chances to win the World Cup. "Brazil I think are a team who are very difficult to beat and Argentina have improved a lot since they qualified. Us, and as always the Germans and Italians.”
Capello also claimed that although David Beckham will miss the tournament as a player, the former England captain could be joining the squad as a vital voice in the dressing room.
