Manchester United visit the Allianz Arena tonight firm favourites to beat Bayern Munich in the Champions League first leg of their quarter-final tie. Manager Louis van Gaal however, is unafraid of the three-time consecutive Premier League champions, and believes it should be the English giants who should be wary of his side.
“We can manage as we also have quality. United boss Sir Alex Ferguson and his players should be scared of that,” Van Gaal said on BBC Sport. "I never have fear and my players don’t have any fear either. We can surprise every team, I believe that," he added. "Bayern are not yet a top-level team like Manchester but we can achieve that level for a game."
Bayern, who just lost their position as Bundesliga leaders, will be hoping to bounce back from their weekend loss to Stuttgart against the Red Devils tonight.
