Standard Liege striker Milan Jovanovic (the Inside Scoop on him here) has played down rumours his summer move to Liverpool is on the rocks. Speculation centred on an admission from Reds boss Rafael Benitez that nothing had yet been signed, despite it being assumed Jovanovic had penned a pre-contract agreement.
The striker told the Belgian press that for him the matter is settled: "For me everything is done. I have until June to arrange everything. I’m sure next season I will play at Liverpool."
Jovanovic will be arriving at Anfield on a free transfer following the completion of his contract with Standard Liege. The forward, who can play up front or on the left wing, was eyed by a number of European sides before opting for the Premier League.
