Barcelona defender Eric Abidal believes tomorrow night’s clash against Arsenal is the biggest match of the season. Not only will a victory at the Camp Nou ensure progress to the last four in the Champions League, the Frenchman believes it will also put the club in a perfect position to go into El Clasico with spirits flying high.
"The season is in play this week," Abidal said on the club’s official website. “We are the reigning champions of the competition (Champions League) and we should battle hard to retain it. It is the most important game of the season and at home, especially, we cannot falter,” he continued, before addressing the looming match against Real Madrid "We will have more confidence and we will be stronger going into that game if we win [tomorrow].”
Barcelona go into Tuesday’s match with the slight advantage, having drawn with Arsenal 2-2 in the first leg at The Emirates.
