CSKA Moscow host Inter Milan at the Luzhniki Stadium on Tuesday night, needing to overturn a 1-0 deficit. The visiting Italian giants will be tested on the artificial surface that is used on the Russian side’s pitch, a factor that manager Leonid Slutsky believes will not affect the game.

"I don’t think the artificial pitch at Luzhniki Stadium gives us any advantage,” the CSKA boss insisted on UEFA.com. “Judging by the Russian national team’s games at this arena and the way Russian clubs have played here in Europe, I really don’t think it makes much difference.”

Should CSKA manage to progress in the quarter-final tie, they will be the first Russian side to advance to the last four since Spartak Moscow managed the feat in 1991.
