Hull City’s Jozy Altidore has claimed the United States of America are the opposite of afraid about the clash with England in the World Cup. The young striker plays a significant role in Bob Bradley’s side, and he believes his team are much stronger than people give them credit for.

England don’t scare us, on the contrary, we’re really looking forward to that match. I think that we’re capable of beating anybody on our day and there’s no team in the world that can beat us easily,” Altidore said on Fifa.com. “We’re up to the challenge and the English will realise that when we meet them.”

USA’s chances of progressing through to the next round are quite reasonable, having been grouped with Algeria and Slovenia along with the Three Lions.
