Tottenham Hotspur boss Harry Redknapp declared his delight at seeing winger Aaron Lennon take part in training yesterday. The England winger had been in excellent form this season until a groin injury put him out of action. For Spurs though his return could provide a timely boost as they chase the FA Cup and a place in the top four of the Premier League.

"Today is the first day Aaron has joined in a training session," confirmed Redknapp to Spurs’ official site.

"It was great to see him out there but we’ve got to take our time. It’s important he doesn’t break down and have another setback."

Indeed Lennon still appears some way off a Premier League start, but the entire North London club will be hoping he can prove the difference between them and the other sides chasing Champions League qualification.
