Manchester City youngster Joe Hart, who has spent the entire season on a very successful loan to Birmingham City, is the subject of manager Roberto Mancini’s interest, as he attempts to keep the young goalkeeper from choosing to move away from Eastlands at the end of the season.

It is important that I speak with Joe in the weeks after the Premier League finishes, then we will see about next season. He has worked very well at Birmingham and he has developed,” Mancini said on the club’s website, before playing up the young shot-stoppers England chances, “Joe could be at the World Cup – he is a good, young, strong goalkeeper. Capello knows him very well now, and if he decides on Joe, then that is a good choice.”

At just 22 years old, Hart has been a rock for Birmingham this season, prompting speculation that he could soon be joining the St. Andrews outfit on a permanent deal.
