Arjen Robben, who scored the decisive goal in the Champions League quarter-final against Manchester United, believes his side’s recovery from a 3-0 deficit last night proves the club are prepared to take on new heights and achieve greater things in this campaign.
“Anything is possible for us this season,” Robben said on UEFA.com. “When we were 3-0 down I thought we were in for a tough evening. We just didn’t turn up in the first half even though we knew exactly what to expect here. [Ivica] Olić’s goal gave us our confidence back.”
Robben’s exquisitely taken volley from Franck Ribery’s corner was an extraordinary finish to cap off an impressively unrelenting performance from the German giants.
