Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo has urged his team-mates not to be disheartened by their loss to Barcelona and reminded them they can still win the La Liga title.
Barcelona’s 2-0 win in El Clasico has sent shockwaves through the Bernabeu and Madrid reporters were quick to ask Cristiano Ronaldo if he saw the club’s season as a failure.
The Portuguese snapped back, "If we win the league you cannot talk of failure", going on to point out that seven La Liga games remain and Real Madrid are still capable of lifting the title.
Cristiano Ronaldo also made it clear that he will never give up: "I am a professional and I do not give up. We could win the league. It’s never good to lose, but we must learn from the defeat. Some you win, some you lose, but let’s see what happens at the end."
