Top four contenders Tottenham Hotspur suffered a shock exit from the FA Cup at the hands of the Premier League rock bottom club Portsmouth at the weekend, making their match against Arsenal in midweek ever more challenging. Defender Sebastien Bassong admits the club are very disappointed to have been dumped out in the semi-finals, but he stresses the team must focus on the next match to keep their push for fourth place alive.
"We are still in the race for fourth spot and this will be a big game against Arsenal which we need to win," stated the 23-year-old. "Obviously this game is coming straight after the defeat to Portsmouth which means we can get that result out of our minds very quickly. We know it will be difficult but we have been strong at home this season and must believe that we can get a result."
Spurs are currently sitting in fifth in the Premier League, just four points behind Manchester City, who have played a game more.
