Bolton Wanderers manager Owen Coyle admits games do not get much tougher than tonight’s match against Premier League leaders Chelsea, but also insists his side will not lie down for The Blues. The former Burnley boss points to Portsmouth’s recent FA Cup semi-final triumph over Tottenham Hotspur, as the perfect reminder that the unexpected is a regular occurrence in football.

Nobody gave Portsmouth a chance yesterday after what they had been through, but there is always an opportunity to go and produce a result and that is what we will look to do,” Coyle said on the club’s official website. “We need to work our socks off for each other and show quality on the ball when we get it.”

Bolton are currently just five points above the drop zone, ensuring that Chelsea will not be facing a side with a lack of motivation to get a result.
