Carlos Tevez has been rampant for Manchester City since his move from city rivals Manchester United in the summer. The Argentinean striker has slotted home 28 goals already this season, just six less than his total tally for the Red Devils in two campaigns. The 26-year-old believes being deployed in a more familiar roaming role has benefited him greatly.
"I am playing now as a free striker. This is my position. I am now playing in the position I played in Argentina and Brazil and in the last 10 games for West Ham,” Tevez explained on the league’s official website. "At Manchester United, I was asked to defend more. It was a different responsibility. Now I go on to the pitch and I am physically fit and mentally strong. I say to myself, ‘you have to win the game for City.’”
Tevez will be hoping his current prolific form continues, when former club Man Utd visit Eastlands at the weekend.
