Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez is hopeful Emiliano Insua will be available again before the season ends. The Argentinean left-back, who tore a muscle in his thigh, has been out for the last two games for The Reds, but the Spanish tactician isn’t about to give up on the 21-year-old chances to play again in the campaign.
“Emiliano is doing well but it’s a bad injury so we have to wait. He’s working and having treatment,” Benitez explained on the club’s official website. “He tore his quadriceps. He could play again this season if the treatment is good. It will be difficult but we’ll see – we’re trying very hard.”
Insua has enjoyed a breakthrough season as a Liverpool player in this campaign, notching 42 appearances so far in all competitions, more than triple the number of games he played last year.
