Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp insists tiredness will not be a factor when his side face Arsenal tonight in the North London Derby. Despite playing in an FA Cup semi-final at the weekend, the former Portmouth boss is convinced the gravity of the occasion will ensure every player is up for the match.
“This is a London derby and we’ll find the energy,” Redknapp said on the club’s official website. “We did it last year. We played United in the Carling Cup Final on the Sunday, it went to extra time and penalties and we came back and played Middlesbrough on the Tuesday night and won 5-1. We’ll be okay. There are no excuses and we’ll be ready to play.”
Both Spurs and Arsenal will need to win tonight if they are to continue their pushes for fourth place, and the Premier League title respectively.
