Barcelona right-back Dani Alves has revealed that the reason behind Barcelona’s strength is their willingness and confidence to attack opposition teams regardless of where the match takes place. With a chance to make history, in being the first team to defend the Champions League, the Brazilian insists the club will not be looking at any excuses for a negative result against Inter Milan at the San Siro tonight.

"[We are] so close to achieving beautiful things Barcelona will not provide any excuses," Alves told Catalan daily Sport. "The essence of this team, what makes us great, is to always seek the opponents’ goal. So we come to try to score, to maintain our identity and be true to our philosophy," he concluded.

The two sides could only manage a draw the last time they played in the San Siro back in the group stages of the competition.
