Liverpool midfielder Yossi Benayoun has claimed that although his club’s hopes of finishing fourth in the league are slim, the team should continue to give their best in the last few games, in order to keep from having any regrets in the summer.
“Mathematically we can still get fourth place, but realistically we know it will be very difficult,” the former West Ham United player said on the club’s official website. "We have to try to do our best, finish as high as possible and if we can get fourth, it will be great. If not, at least we know we have tried our best.”
With their recent win over the Hammers, The Reds are currently sitting just five points away from fourth placed Tottenham Hotspur.
