Uruguayan international Martin Caceres, looks set to remain at Juventus for another full season on loan from Barcelona, after team managers of both clubs agreed that the extension of the loan deal would be the best scenario for the two sides.

Although Juventus are believed to be very interested in purchasing the defender outright, according to France Football, the loan deal allows the player to be able to fully integrate himself with the side before any permanent deals are made.

Caceres, who is believed to be worth €7M now, from last season’s valuation of €11M, has made only a handful of appearances for Juventus, as the defender has had to battle various injuries during his stint with the Turin-based club.
